Course aim

To provide students with a broad knowledge and motivation necessary to understand function of machines/mechanisms as a necessity for Machine Design.

Course content

Motion analysis in machinery;  introduction to kinematics and kinetics of rigid body; kinematic and kinetic analysis of mechanisms; shaking forces and balancing; geared systems; crank effort diagram and flywheels.
