To develop students' advanced skills and practices of planning and developing a research project effectively and independently within appropriate theoretical and ethical frameworks.
Students will investigate the issues that need to be taken into account in planning and developing an original, independent, ethical research project on a complex topic, and consider where this might take them in the future. Students will identify a research topic, and evaluate previous research on that topic. They will use their knowledge and skills to design a research project, and develop a research plan which will lead to the production of a thesis or an artefact plus exegesis.
