Course aim

To provide an advanced knowledge and understanding of typography and typographic principles in history,
research, and application.

Course content

Students will gain an advanced knowledge of history and context of use of type, setting type, layout, grid use, type structures, typographic cueing, and legibility. Students will apply the typography and typographic principles in design for reading, document, and information design.
