To introduce and provide a broad understanding of the principles of design and their application to visual communication design tasks.
Students will develop technical and problem-solving skills inherent in the graphic design process. Students will be introduced to language of design; research techniques for graphic design; idea generation methods; image management; copy fitting and editorial design; visual identity; type and layout; print preparation; digital design and presentation, intregation of history and theory with design practice.
