Course aim

To provide the graduate student with the opportunity to use GIS with other transport modelling software to analyse transportation issues.

Course content

Introduction to GIS-Transportation, GIS data structure and database management, GIS in network analysis, GIS in logistics and fleet management, GIS in traffic analysis, GIS in public transport service planning, GIS in transport demand modelling, Census data applications in planning using GIS, GIS applications in urban planning.
