To enable student teachers to develop the professional concepts, knowledge and skills required to operate effectively in learning programs in junior primary/primary settings.
Planning for teaching and learning; skills in critical reflection in discussion and journal writing; developing positive relationships with peers, children and staff in school settings; the nature of teachers’ work; classroom environments; communication; diversity; teaching strategies; behaviour management.
