Course aim

To extend students’ knowledge of the developmental and learning needs of children in the R to 7 years

Course content

Aspects of development and their relationship to learning: cognitive (linguistic, numerical, problem solving and reading skills); social/emotional (classroom management; social dynamics; aggression; co-operative behaviours); motivation; instructional methods.
