To engage students with theoretical perspectives and teaching and learning strategies in relation to reading, viewing, speaking, listening, writing and the design and construction of digital texts.
Exploration of theories and pedagogies relevant to teaching and learning literacies in contemporary Australia; the teaching of reading and writing; multiliteracies including the interconnectedness of traditional, visual and digital literacies; critical and productive integration of popular culture and digital literacies; assessment and profiling of literacy learners.
