To identify and critically analyse the roles, responsibilities and expectations of leaders and managers in
educational and workplace settings in the light of current management theory and the future nature of work and
learning.
Students will develop knowledge of educational leadership, administrative management, and organisational development. The students will develop knowledge in managing and leading work teams and small organisations, managing educational programs Students will develop knowledge about mentoring staff, leadership skills and performance management. Students will apply this in a critical study. Students will undertake a literature and futures search and from this will propose the role of adult education in creating shared visions for the future.
