Course aim

To examine web-based learning environments and their associated tools for relative merits in supporting teaching and learning.

Course content

Foundations of flexible and online delivery; history of the development of flexible and online delivery practices; contemporary issues in flexible and on-line delivery; theoretical ideas underpinning online and flexible learning; critical analysis of pedagogical approaches used in flexible and online learning; social and economic considerations of online delivery.
