This course introduces nurses to the necessary theoretical modelling upon which effective education provision is based within health care environments.
Models used in curriculum design and development: Curriculum models, Teaching models, Nursing models. Curriculum Development: development stages of curriculum development. Curriculum Design: curriculum rationale and model, organising and sequencing of curricula content, validation of curricula, educational inclusivity and quality assurance, designing learning experiences to achieve curricula outcomes. Curriculum Implementation: informing stakeholders, personnel, support staff, scheduling. Curriculum Evaluation: purpose, types of evaluation, planning for evaluation, models of curriculum evaluation.
