Course aim

For a team of students to carry out the early part of a year-long sponsored research project, in some area of mathematics and its applications.

Course content

Due to the individual nature of projects there is no prescribed syllabus for Mathematics Clinic 1. Projects are sourced from industry. Students are required to provide the client company with a detailed description of their strategy for solving the problem by the middle of Study Period 2, one or two oral presentations in Study Period 2, and a mid-year report by the end of Study Period 2.
