Course aim

To consolidate studio-based knowledge and skills with a body of completed artworks framed by research whilst acknowledging contemporary professional industry demands.

Course content

Students through advanced studio production will complete a body of work in relation to, professional contemporary models of creative practice and studio methods inclusive of the theory practice nexus,  succinctly identify a topic or series of topics linked to a research methodology, and develop arrangements involving industry partners which entail negotiated discussion and agreement around the nature and scope of artefact production and professional practice. Students will select a specialist practitioner as an external mentor and meet with them regularly or as negotiated through the study period.
