This course provides students with theoretical and practical knowledge of economic concepts important to managerial decision making and explores their impact on organisational management and leadership, business strategy, and business conduct.
Topics covered in this course include introduction to economics, and supply and demand; determination of market equilibrium and elasticity of demand; competitive markets and economic efficiency; cost of production; the role of government; market structure, power and pricing; strategic thinking; regulation; introduction to macroeconomics; fiscal and monetary policies.
