Professional and Creative Communication 2

Course aim

To build on students' understanding of the forms of representation in writing and producing texts and their own position as writers through a critical engagement with multiple forms of research and genres.

Course content

Students will develop knowledge about the place of the writer as a researcher and observer, reading and analysing multiple fiction and nonfiction texts in order to understand  their own positoin and the historical precedents for writers as observers and critics of social and cultural conditions.  Students will then use this knowledge to analyse texts as cultural artefacts and write their own creative pieces to comment on the current  cultural context.
