Literary Texts and Practice

Course aim

To provide students with a capstone for their studies in Literary Practice, creative writing and literary theory.

Course content

Revisiting material, ideas, concepts and issues encountered in the sub-major in Literary Practice in the preceding years of study. Reading widely and well in order to explore ideas and theorists further and to investigate authors not previously read. Extending skills in researching, writing and presenting using the available technologies to communicate within a scholarly community.

Prerequisite(s)

Four courses in the Literary Practice submajor, or by arrangement with the Program Director. Not available to students who have completed COMM 4001 Issues in Language and Discourse and/or COMM 2025 Communication and Cultures.
