To integrate the theoretical and practical knowledge students have gained throughout the degree and apply this knowledge to the construction of in-depth analyses of literary texts and creative pieces so students may communicate effectively within the relevant professional and scholarly communities.
Students will revisit material, ideas, concepts and issues encountered in the creative and critical aspects of their writing courses in the preceding years of study in order to consolidate their skills and reflect on the practices of literary and professional writing. Students will read widely in order to explore ideas and theorists in greater depth and will investigate authors not previously read. Through researching, writing and presenting using appropriate technologies, students will develop the confidence required to participate effectively within a scholarly community.
