To enable students to develop an understanding and appreciation of current practices, procedures and issues in the reporting of sport. To enable students to develop an increased awareness of the different forms of sports reporting across a range of forms of news media.
Students will become familiar with current sports reporting practice, and with issues in sport and in sport news and features reporting. Students will also develop their knowledge of ethical and legal issues related to sport and sports reporting; and will develop skills in writing sports-based news and feature stories and sports reporting for print, broadcast and online media.
