Course aim

To enable students to develop an understanding and appreciation of current practices, procedures and issues in the reporting of sport. To enable students to develop an increased awareness of the different forms of sports reporting.

Course content

Current sports reporting practice; issues in sport and in sport news and features reporting; ethical and legal issues related to sport and sports reporting; writing sports-based news and feature stories; sports reporting in print, broadcast and online media.
