Course aim

To enable students to understand the role and technologies of technology innovation and research and development management in an organisation and to understand how to create an environment for innovative research and development.

Course content

Innovation and technology innovation; manufacturing technology of high technology industry; role of research and development in high tech enterprises; marketing strategies of research and development organisations; practices of research and development organisations in high technology industry; alliance and collaboration of research and development organisations; core technology of high tech industry; technology life cycles; strategic partnership between university, industrial and governmental research and development organisations; macro- and micro- innovation; culture and leadership in innovation and innovative organisations.
