The aim of this course is to develop and extend students’ scope of practice by undertaking in-depth theoretical and clinical exploration of their chosen field of practice.
Advanced nursing practice models relevant to the area of practice: Identification and exploration of practice issues/problems through reflection; critiques of literature and from other print and visual mediums (eg. novels, autobiographies, television or films); needs analysis; quality management; approaches to measuring outcomes; financial management; risk management; models of contemporary leadership; critical thinking; self directed learning; advanced communication and negotiation skills.
