Students will develop a critical perspective of global issues, trends and practices impacting on the delivery of nursing and health services.
Social, political and economic factors impacting on nursing and health services; population ageing; globalization; nursing and health performance measurement; consumer directed care; managerialism; organisation of nursing work; work intensification; nursing and health workforce trends and roles; interprofessional practice; health program evaluation; regulation of nursing and health care; health service reform; health care rationing; nursing work design and workflow; staff burnout; skill mix and work allocation; organisational change; professional, social, and organisational values; factors impacting on access to and use of nursing and health services; health governance and policy.
