To familiarise students with a range of research methodologies appropriate to related specialisation in art, craft and/or design.
Students will develop advanced knowledge in the theories and practices of methods of research and their applications in the fields of architecture, art and design. Students will apply knowledge to demonstrate skills in literature searches and archival research, defining a researchable topic, writing the literature review and the research proposal, issues and techniques in design of small-scale research projects in art, craft and design.
