Physiotherapy Professional Practice

Course aim

Demonstrate culturally safe and responsive practice through the application of professional, legal and ethical obligations required of registered Physiotherapists in Australia, and advanced communication skills. 

Course content

Ethical principles and ethical reasoning models applied to physiotherapy. Principles and practice of cultural safety and responsiveness. Advanced written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills and professional behaviour. Codes of conduct including the Thresholds of Practice and professional and ethical standards and codes for Registered Physiotherapists and physiotherapy students in Australia.
