The aim of this course is to advance knowledge of biomedical and clinical sciences relevant to sports injury management and prevention, advance knowledge of specialised orthopaedic management of selected musculoskeletal conditions and develop best practice physiotherapy management of sports and orthopaedic conditions.
Contemporary evidence-based practice of a variety of issues relevant to orthopaedic and sports physiotherapy, including recent advances in orthopaedic management of the spine, upper and lower limbs and associated post-operative management, physiotherapy practices relevant to musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, differential diagnosis and management of a number of relevant clinical conditions, legal issues in sports physiotherapy, sport and exercise in the older population, rheumatology, osteoporosis and bone healing, sports nutrition, sports psychology, sports nutrition, sports podiatry, biomechanics and injury profile of selected sports.
