To develop an understanding of the main theories and concepts in lifespan developmental psychology and to apply this to develop solutions to contemporary psychosocial developmental problems.
Developmental theories, principles and characteristics of individuals across the major developmental periods - prenatal, infancy and childhood, adolescence, and adulthood; theories and issues in lifespan development; lifespan changes in the key developmental domains – physical, cognitive, social and emotional; cultural and ethical issues.
