Course aim

To provide students with an advanced study of qualitative research methodology.

Course content

Overview of research, with particular emphasis on qualitative research; contemporary debates on research practices in the humanities and social sciences; historical and contemporary debates about methods and methodologies, ethical practice, questions of identity and subjectivity in research, textual and discourse analysis, information retrieval strategies, ethnography, cultural theory, institutional research.
