Course aim

Provide an overview of fundamental and key enabling technologies in various modern communiation systems. 

Course content

Satellite communications, Software defined radio, 5G enabling technologies (e.g. MIMO, beamforming, small cells, OFDM waveform designs), channel sounding and phase array, OFDM in fibre optical communications.
















NOTE: Conceded and Terminating passes will be available to undergraduates taking this course but not to postgraduates.
