Course aim

To extend and further integrate skills in typography and image design for communication. To experiment with motion and sound, including research relating to motion graphics in historical eras and contemporary practices. 

Course content

Students will further develop knowledge and skill in the integration of type, image, motion and sound to design sequences that communicate with impact, applying skills in digital imaging, photographic manipulation, editing and file management relevant to design practices. Students will research and critique title sequences and motion graphics in terms of content, narrative function and temporal experience in relationship to design for effective communication.
