To develop students’ ability in the use of and interaction between design and illustration computer graphics software programs for visual communication design production so as to interpret and translate ideas and information into digital format suitable for reproduction and output.
Methods of graphic, typographic and idea generation using computer graphics software for production. Analysis and interpretation of briefs, copyright, sourcing material and assembly of digital artwork to production-ready stage. Compatibility, transfer and interaction between graphics software packages across the Macintosh platform used in design production. Technical processes, proofing and preparation of work to specifications suitable for reproduction and output.
