To develop students’ skills and knowledge in the fundamentals of design, establishing the relationship between design theory, principles, creative processes and practice as a general principle of design procedures.
The nature of design; elements and principles of design and their relationships; psychology of perception and the nature of colour and its characteristics. Application of diverse approaches to creative problem solving, based on methodologies and conceptual frameworks in contemporary design practice, knowledge application and skill development toward tangible outcomes.
