To further students design skills by exposing them to the forms, structures, and process of nature which will be utilised as inspiration for biomorphic and biomimic projects to improve aesthetics, innovation, and sustainability of design solutions.
The students will study natural forms (morphology) and processes (biomimicry) through observation, drawing, and research and apply this knowledge to designed products, spaces or architecture. Students will produce designed outcomes that are more innovative, aesthetic, and sustainable than solutions they would have generated without the inspiration from nature.
