Course aim

To provide students with an understanding of key concepts of social and population health and their application to aspects of particular relevance in occupational therapy practice.

Course content

Key concepts of social and population health – the impact of culture, socialisation, the structural basis of inequity and social difference and differential impacts on health outcomes - gender, ethnicity, class and age.
