School of Psychology, Social Work and Social Policy
To enable students to further develop the skills to apply professional practice frameworks within the social work context.
The students will critically analyse the diverse organisational context/purpose, roles and functions of social work as preparation for placement. Students will examine ethical practice frameworks and how social workers begin to apply theoretical frameworks to their practice contexts. Students will engage in reflective practice to build professional social work identity and professional behaviour. Students will examine their own learning styles and reporting and supervision practices in social work contexts.
