Course aim

To enable students to critically analyse the relationships between social issues, social policy and its implementation through human service programs.

Course content

The students will develop theoretical and applied knowledge of modernist and postmodern theories of the state and globalisation including social diversity, environmental sustainability, identity and social inequality. The students will apply knowledge of social analysis and social change and evaluate the implications of globalisation for human service organisations and their stakeholders in the social policy process.
