Course aim

To introduce the foundational elements of the discipline of test and evaluation.

Course content

Relationship between T&E and other disciplines, the Systems Engineering Life-Cycle, the Scientific Method, Articulating “solution-independent” Measures of Effectiveness, Suitability and Performance, Fundamentals of developmental, acceptance and operational test and evaluation. Environmental conditions and Threat Assessments, Team-based T&E strategies and Master Plans, Introduction to the legal aspects of T&E and international treaties and agreements , T&E resources – test ranges and facilities and the application of modelling and simulation, Planning, conducting, executing and reporting test results.
