Course aim

To develop the students’ knowledge of construction cost planning including economic building design evaluation and cost modelling techniques.

Course content

Cost management of construction projects; Cost analysis and cost information; Cost planning process, stages and comparative cost studies; Cost planning techniques including functional units, functional areas and elemental cost planning; Project costs, allowances and special provisions; Building morphology and design economics; Computerised methods for cost management.
