To introduce students to urban design and principles, analytical techniques/approaches, implementation processes, the formulation of design concepts, construction of design arguments and the communication of design ideas.
The course will concentrate on design, research, interpretation and analysis of city urban spaces and contexts. However, all course materials and work will revolve around the central focus - the forces that shape urban form. By the end of the course, students will develop an understanding of the critical elements required to create more equitable and sustainable communities.
