The aim of this course is to use the ICF (International classification Functioning) framework to underpin knowledge and clinical reasoning, to develop professional communication and professional behaviour, to promote self-reflection skills, and to apply safe handling principles in a clinical setting.
Experiential application of the ICF framework to identify issues in and to reason through, client presentation, skills in self reflection, professional behaviours such as presentation, informed consent, confidentiality respecting client’s rights, etc, and communication skills including questioning, active listening, identifying client’s values and developing a rapport with patients. Experiential application of selected clinical skills. Roles of the multidisciplinary team.
