Course aim

To further develop students' knowledge of the creation of printed and dyed textiles and the role of textiles in contemporary culture.

Course content

Students will further develop knowledge on textile terms and conventions, aspects of textile history and theory. Through the analysis of set project material, the students will develop visual research skills and be able to summarise the intention statements for the project. The students will also apply safe work procedures in the printing and dying processes, and simple cloth construction techniques.
