To introduce students to the creation of printed and dyed textiles and the role of textiles in contemporary culture.
Textile terms and conventions, aspects of textile history and theory, analysis of set project material, visual research skills; development of project work, summarising intentions statements on work; instruction on safe work procedures; instruction in printing and dying processes and simple cloth construction techniques.
