Course aim

This is an advanced course which will enable students to consolidate their original art practice through intense studio work,or through specialist theory study. To provide students with a sound critical base upon which to further develop their individual art practice; To introduce notions of culture and cultural interaction as they impact upon the production of artwork.

Course content

The course emphasises the importance of students developing an informed and self-critical approach to art making. Projects will reflect current issues in local and international arts practice. Students may also devise, in consultation with the individual specialisation lecturers and the Course Coordinator, individual study programs. . Although primarily based in one study area, students will have the opportunity to move outside of that discipline to fulfil their study aims.
