To build on students' knowledge of the arts industry and to offer practical information relevant to developing a career.
The students will develop their knowledge of a career in the arts sector including scoping the possibilities, curriculum vitae and a five year plan. An overview of the arts sector and the federal and state arts advisory and funding bodies, galleries, advocacy organisations. Other opportunities for artists will also be discussed such as community arts, public art; residencies, artist run spaces. The students will use their skills to produce grant applications and acquittals, marketing, promotion material, discussion and dialogue.
