The aim of this course is to provide students with an overview of evidence based practice, and equip them with the knowledge and skills to identify, access, evaluate and implement the evidence for a topic in allied health.
Principles of evidence based practice, hierarchies of research designs appropriate to different types of clinical questions, critical appraisal of literature, use of library data bases and Internet, assessment of methodological bias within studies, interpretation and implementation of evidence in clinical decision making.
