Course aim

To apply the knowledge gained in previous marketing coursework to a real world problem, whether in a management or academic sense, culminating in a substantial research document

Course content

This course provides the opportunity to apply theory to actual practice. Students working for a company will be able to focus on a problem facing their company; those who do not have this option will develop a project with the course coordinator. Students will take the research proposal developed in Research Methods in Business and Management G and conduct the research and then prepare a report. This report will be expected to follow the format that would be seen in an honours thesis comprising literature review, problem definition propositions, results and discussion. The course allows the student to gain skills in problem solving and management of the research process in an applied context.
