To introduce students to the concepts, principles and practice of transport logistics, with particular emphasis on the physical distribution and handling of commodities and goods.
Concepts and principles of logistics. The logistics chain. Material management and distribution management. Warehousing, inventory and goods movement. Freight forwarding and storage. Freight transport technology. Scheduling and routing. Strategic national and international transport networks.
