Course aim

To enable students to understand the role, management, design, delivery of learning in the workplace and the use of technology to support learning.

Course content

Strategic learning in the workplace. The learning organisation and knowledge management. Adult learning theories, models and methods. A systems approach to training and instructional design. High performance models of work systems. Application of technology to the learning environment. Critical review of literature in relation to training and workplace learning. Issues and challenges.
