Course aim

To provide an understanding of the fundamental concepts, issues and benefits of information systems and technology to organisations.

Course content

Analyse fundamental concepts, issues and benefits of information systems. Compare the potential contribution of information systems to the competitive advantage of different organisations; e-commerce business models and systems, networks, mobile, wireless, location and pervasive information and communications technologies, accounting information systems, supply chain management, enterprise systems, transaction processing systems, managerial and decision support systems.
