To develop an understanding of classical narrative film form and its key elements, techniques and practices.
Students build knowledge of classical narrative film form including narrative formal system, film elements and style. Students develop and apply skills in scriptwriting, mise-en-scene, cinematography, editing and sound. Students engage in creative and expressive use of elements and techniques including dramatic structure, forms and modes of engagement such as storytelling and characterisation.
