Course aim

To extend students' proficiency in spoken and written Italian at an advanced level.

Course content

Students will focus on vocabulary, structures and texts related to a range of advanced linguistic situations, themes and topics which develop accuracy, flexibility and fluency. Students will further develop intercultural knowledge integral to a range of situations and tasks and through an online Italian community participation program.  Students will investigate representations of identity, place, gender and public institutions through a selection of twentieth century Italian narrative and film.
